Felker Day Inc. is a privately-owned second and third generation family business.
The company began with Troy and Pauline Day, opening their first two KFC restaurant locations in Lexington, NC in 1966 forging a personal connection with Colonel Harland Sanders himself. Over the next four and a half decades, their dedication and entrepreneurial spirit grew the business to 26 restaurants across North and South Carolina, employing more than seven hundred team members. In 2013 the family legacy expanded further as Day Enterprises transitioned eight restaurant locations to Felker Day.
Building on this strong foundation, Felker Day achieved another milestone in September 2024 by acquiring nine additional KFC restaurants. This expansion brought our portfolio to 16 restaurants, underscoring the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences and strengthening our footprint in the Southeast.
At the heart of our success are the 28 Felker Day FounDaytions—guiding principles that reflect our dedication to quality, operational excellence, employee development, and guest satisfaction. These FounDaytions inspire everything we do, from maintaining the highest standards to creating meaningful growth opportunities for our team members.
